Variations of the Death of Trotsky was one of ten short plays presented at the 2005 night of "Shorts" at Abilene Christian University. I was most interested in Trotsky's subtle growth and change from scene to scene. The play leaves us with a feeling of acceptence that I thought could be achieved by allowing the play to follow the Kubler-Ross model. So each "variation" of Trotsky's death resembled a different stage within the Kubler-Ross model.
